Brown Bar

Talister Storm - $15
Released in early 2013, Talisker Storm has all the warm, smoky, peppery characteristics we all love in the standard Talisker 10yo - but they've been turned up a notch, with more smoke, more spices, and a bigger than ever flavor explosion.

Tasting Notes
Proof | Color | Nose | Taste | Finish |
---|---|---|---|---|
91.6 | Dark Gold | Rich and unexpectedly honeyed initially. Then some pleasing singed oaky notes & bandagey aromas. Next, bonfire smoke comes through. There even seems to be some milk chocolate & appley fruit lurking in the rear. | Medium-full with initial honey and then a very decent dose of hot smoke. The oak is there too, with vanilla & some peppery spices. Gets sweeter towards the end as the pepper lingers, counterpointed with unexpected sweet fruit & even a note of strawberry licorice which works very well. | Woody & spicy without becoming bitter. Good length. Sweetness returns at the end. |
